📝Today i will explain you about procedure text part 3.
In this learning activity 2, you will practice compiling related procedure texts
technology usage manual and tips (tips). But first you have to
study the linguistic elements in the text. Try you guys😊.
📝Here is the structure of the procedure text
■Goal/Aim : contains the intent and purpose of the related procedure text .
■Materials : contains the materials needed to perform the steps of a procedure text .
■Steps : a list of sequential steps to complete the procedure text steps .
■Result : the result of the steps that have been carried out.
📝Characteristics Procedure Text
ü Using imperative sentence patters (Command), for example, Cut, Do not mix, and so on.
ü Using active verbs, such as turn, put, do, mix, etc.
ü Using connectives (Conjunction) to sort of activities, such as then, while, etc.
ü Using adverbials (Adverbs) to express detail the time, place, manner accurate, for example, for five minutes, 2 hours, etc.
ü Using the simple present tense.
❣Read and understand the following material descriptions:
1. Imperative
Imperative sentence is a sentence that is used to make
command, request, or instruction.
Imperative sentences generally end with an exclamation but can also be ends by a period. In the usual imperative sentence procedural texts used is what functions as an instruction (instruction) and command (command).
📚There is also a negative imperative that serves to show that we
not allowed to do anything. Take a look at some examples imperative sentence below.
➡️Add a glass of coconut milk into a pan and then boil it.
➡️Do not spray water on the control panel of the washing machine.
➡️Remove the toner cartridge carefully.
➡️Serve it warmly in the rice bowl
2. Must and Mustn't
Must is used to express that we have to do something important
e.g. : You must press the on button to start the machine.
Mustn't is used to express that we are forbidden to do something.
e.g. You musn't refill the ink before it runs out.
3. Sentence Connectors for Telling Actions in Order.
Connectors are used to join groups of words, both phrases and sentence. You can use these connectors to link paragraphs to be coherent. Sentence connectors are usually written at the beginning of a sentence. Try to read and study the example paragraph below carefully.
Example :
Have you ever done online shopping? It’s easy to order from shopmart.com
First of all, create a shopmart.com account. Then, find your desired items you
want to order. Click on “Add to Cart”. Next, continue shopping until your
desired items have all been placed in the cart. Make sure you review your cart
by clicking “My Cart” and check wheter your items are in correct quantities.
After that, enter your shipping address. Choose the fastest shipping options.
Finally, make your payment by following the payment methods accepted by
shopsmart.com, for example, credit card, deit card, or cash.

Materials :

-Detergent
-Clothes

1. First, put the clothes in the washing machine
2. Then, fill the water in the washing machine and detergent
3. Next, set the washing machine speed along with the time
4. Let the washing machine work, after finishing putting clothes into the spinning tube
5. Next, stay in the clothes drying
