Assalamu'alaikum🌞
Hello everyone🐧
💐Welcome back to my blog, today i will explain you about narrative text🏞 .....Let's go!!!🔥
Consciously or not, actually everyone likes a story or stories with connected events. The text model with the continuous flow is an example of narrative text.
Narrative texts have actually been known to everyone, consciously or not. However, the form can be different such as in the form of writing, comics, game stories, films and so on.
All forms of storytelling start from a scenario written in the form of a narrative text. So, it can be said that this text is the origin of various stories of legend, fable, fairy tale, myth, mysteries, science fiction, history, romance and other genres that are famous in the world.
🌵 Definition of Narrative Text
📝 Characteristics of Narrative Text
🐧each example of narrative text has special characteristics, such as:
👉Just like the example of explanatory text, in narrative text also use action verbs. However, in narrative texts it is usually in the past tense.
👉This text generally uses or special verbs to name people or characters.
👉The adjectives used are usually in the form of noun phrases.
👉Narrative texts are usually followed by moral values.
Finally, plain text types use conjunctions to sort and connect each chronology of events.
📚 Types of Narrative text
There are many types of narrative text and this is different from the example of discussion text which can be said to have no type. Maybe in the discussion text, the topic is different. As the most widely circulated text on the market, of course, you must know what types of narrative text itself are.
This is important to know, especially for those of you who want to make your own narrative writing. The types of narrative texts include:
💐Fairy Tales
Fairy tales or fairy tales are certainly familiar to everyone. There are many types of famous fairy tales in the world that tell the story of Pinocchio, about Cinderella, about the sleeping beauty, the fairy tale Tinker Bell and others.
💐Mystery
Not only that, sometimes this mystery becomes a genre that is combined with other genres in the novel. In addition, mystery stories are easy to find in Indonesia. Because stories about folklore related to spirits and other legends are easy to get from various regions in the archipelago.
💐 Romance
In addition, another type of narrative text is about romance. This story is usually found in novels or films. Sometimes fairy tales are also seasoned with romance so that the story becomes more interesting. This genre can be used with different backgrounds. So, it could be that the romance text is set about a school or about a tourist spot.
💐Horror
Another example of narrative text is a horror story that is synonymous with ghosts or spirits. Sometimes this story is peppered with mystery so that it makes the reader curious. Some of the famous horror stories are Man Tiger, The Little Stranger and others.
💐Fable
Indonesian children are certainly no stranger to the story of the deer who is clever in deceiving various carnivores in the forest. This story is one of the famous fables in Indonesia. Of course, this animal tale is not only available in Indonesia. Other examples of fables are Alice in Wonderland, Pegasus and others.
💐Legend and Myth
Another type of narrative text is about countless myths or legends in the world. There are so many texts with the theme of the legend. For example, the story of Percy Jackson is associated with the City of Atlantis.
💐History
History is also an example of a narrative text. Because, every story is made coherently based on the complete chronology of events with the time of occurrence. In addition, each of these histories can have different stories depending on the point of view of writing.
💐Personal Experience
Personal experience can also be an example of an interesting narrative text. Why? Because everyone can feel a different experience even though the incident is the same. Therefore, this text is very useful because it contains many different points of view.
Each of the examples of narrative text above has characteristics and generic structures that are different from other types of text. This must be known, so that you can write narrative text properly and correctly. The structure of Narrative text is:
💐Orientation
Usually in the form of an opening paragraph that tells the beginning of the story or introduction of characters. This opening can be long or short depending on the story the author wants to write himself. However, this part is very important. Because without a clear opening, the story told will fall apart. In addition, the opening part is sometimes inserted into its own puzzle which will later be revealed in the text.
💐Complications
This section is in the form of problems that arise. These problems will make the story develop and be more interesting. Some writers make a problem arise and then solve it, then follow it with the next problem.
However, there are other writers who make problems appear at once and then the solution is made slowly. Both are equally interesting depending on the expertise of the author.
💐Solution
An example of a good narrative text must have a solution or end to the problems raised earlier. Usually this section is close to the end of the story so you can judge whether the story ends well or badly.
💐Reorientation
This section is in the form of lessons or lessons that can be drawn from the story. This section is optional and does not have to be in every narrative text. However, this section usually appears if you look at the story of Sirah Nabawiyah and the companions of the Apostle.
Every narrative text must have an opening-complication-solution. The name can be different but the three parts cannot be separated from the text.

🌵🌵🌵 Example
A long time ago, in a small village near the beach in West Sumatra lived a woman and her son, Malin Kundang. Malin Kundang and his mother had to live hard because his father had passed away when he was a baby. Malin Kundang was a healthy, dilligent, and strong boy. He usually went to sea to catch fish. After getting fish he would bring it to his mother, or sell the caught fish in the town.
One day, when Malin Kundang was sailing, he saw a merchant’s ship being raided by a band of pirates. With his bravery, Malin Kundang helped the merchant defeat the pirates. To thank him, the merchant allowed Malin Kundang to sail with him. Malin Kundang agreed in the hope to get a better life. He left his mother alone.
Many years later, Malin Kundang became wealthy. He had a huge ship and a lot of crews who worked loading trading goods. He was also married to a beautiful woman. When he was sailing on his trading journey, his ship landed on a coast near a small village. The local people recognized that it was Malin Kundang, a boy from the area. The news ran fast in the town; “Malin Kundang has become rich and now he is here”.
An old woman, who was Malin Kundang’s mother, ran to the beach to meet the new rich merchant. She wanted to hug him to release her sadness of being lonely after a long time. When his mother came near him, Malin Kundang who was with his beautiful wife and his ship crews denied that she was his mother. She had pleaded Malin Kundang to look at her and admit that she was her mother. But he kept refusing to do it and yelling at her. At last Malin Kundang said to her “Enough, old woman! I have never had a mother like you, a dirty and ugly woman!” After that he ordered his crews to set sail to leave the old woman who was then full of sadness and anger. Finally, feeling enraged, she cursed Malin Kundang that he would turn into a stone if he didn’t apologize to her. Malin Kundang just laughed and set sail. Suddenly a thunderstorm came in the quiet sea, wrecking his huge ship. He was thrown out to a small island. It was really too late for him to avoid his curse; he had turned into a stone.

After that Candra Kirana turned back into the golden snail.
Meanwhile at the palace, Raden Inu Kertapati was doing everything that he can to find Candra Kirana. He finally decided to disguise himself as an ordinary villager so he can continue the search by himself.
